Portuguese Trick or Treat - did you know?

In Tomar, people set up the tables with all sorts of nuts and a traditional cake. Children knock on people's door and instead of trick or treat, give something nice to eat... it goes like this:

Bolinho, bolinho,
Esta casa tem Santinho!

But if don't give the children nuts or a slice of cake... it goes like this:

Bolão, bolão,
Esta casa vai ao CHÃO!

So next year you can use a real Portuguese tradition instead of "Doçura ou Travessura" or Trick or Treat!
