Message for the International Day for the Elimination of VIolence against Women

By resolution 54/134 of 17 December 1999, the United Nations General Assembly designated 25 November as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and invited governments, international organizations and NGOs to organize activities designed to raise public awareness of the problem on that day. Women's activists have marked 25 November as a day against violence since 1981. This date came from the brutal assassination in 1960, of the three Mirabal sisters, political activists in the Dominican Republic, on orders of Dominican ruler Rafael Trujillo (1930-1961).

On 20 December 1993 the General Assembly, by resolution 48/104, adopted the Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women.

Warner Bros Madrid

WLet´s go to Warner Park in Madrid - a theme park about cartoons.

In this park, we can have loads of fun in coasters, see shows, eat in the different restaurants and buy souvenirs in the gift shops.

The park is divided in four areas: the Warner Bros Studios, the Old West Territory, the Hollywood Boulevard and the best of them, the Cartoon Village. I like the coasters very much so I try them all from Batman to the Escape, or the Coaster Express, or Superman, or Tom and Jerry, or MR Freeze, or the adventure of Scooby Doo and many more. After all that speed and ups and downs, I feel hungry and I look for a nice restaurant to eat something. In the Gotham City Grill, I eat the best hamburgers from the entire park, hamburguesas a la parrilla. Then, I walk around the park to see some of the many thematic statues, and to take some pictures near Bat Mobile statue.

Whenever you’re bored come to Warner Park and you will not regret it at all

My bff Garfield

He is small and fat. He’s got short orange fur. His eyes are black. His nose is pink and small. He’s got small whiskers. He has black stripes, a round head. His feet are huge and its tail is funny. He is cute and chubby.

My best friend is clever, intelligent, funny, very sociable, talkative, and very lazy. He isn’t shy but he is impatient. He is a friend of his friend, independent, restless, noisy, sleeper, pampered but nonetheless happy.

He loves to eat lasagna, there is a not day that he does not. He loves bothering his friends especially the postman and his Odie. He loves tricking people and steal food from his neighbors especially lasagna. He hates to play sports, he thinks it’s a waste of time and energy.

Despite being clumsy, we love him, because it is very cool and it makes us laugh a lot today. Garfield is a good best friend and we would not replace him for anything or anyone.

Holiday Postcard

Dear Luís,

This year I've decided to visit Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil with Andreia, Rafa and Bea. We had been saving money for this trip for months, so we are very thrilled about these holidays!

We arrived yesterday morning at the hotel, and the weather was so fantastic that we went straight to the beach! We saw a man selling coconut water, and Rafa really wanted to try it... but I must say I didn’t like it at all!
As you know, Bea loves to surf... so she tried to teach us how to do it. Well, it wasn’t pretty to watch..., but we had a great time!

We had lunch in a really cool restaurant by the sea and we’ve already made some friends. People are very nice around here...

I’m really excited about this week. It has been an amazing time here in Rio de Janeiro and tomorrow we will visit Christ the Redeemer and we’ll make some shopping.

I want to show you our pictures. We have to meet for dinner when I come back!
